Mr. Williams frequently attributes his path into the world of entertainment as a “not so orthodox” journey. Spawning from a solid background in technology and programming, Mr. Williams acknowledges many skill sets and methodologies attained within his tech years allowed for a shortened learning curve and an even greater hunger to understand new film making and productions techniques.
While Mr. Williams fascination for programming and major technical feats have always maintained the forefront of his attention, roughly six years ago Mr. Williams decided to take a leap into the world of entertainment as his desire to simply “code” began to fade. When Mr. Williams chartered Big M Entertainment in 2008 he knew that his lack of entertainment industry relationships or know how would prove challenging at the outset but Mr. Williams also recognized that “Hollywood” had gone digital. Hollywood’s migration from an analog state to a digital platform was the shift that Mr. Williams recognized as a perfect entry point for his new found career. With that shift driving Mr. Williams desire to create, Mr. Williams embarked on a journey that quickly landed his company Interscope Records as the first client. A few months after Mr. Williams, was assisting Disney’s Hollywood Records off shoot.
Since it’s inception, Big M Entertainment has went on to produce TV show sizzles, documentaries, shorts, full length episodes and films, motion graphics bumpers, behind the scenes snippets, webisodes and music videos for numerous producing partners and clients ranging from Mr. Howie Dorough of “The Backstreet Boys” to Ms. Dionne Warwick. Mr. Williams clients also include Bad Boy Entertainment affiliates, Interscope Records, Sony Studios, Jesse McCartney, Andrew Lane (Music Producer High School Musical, Hannah Montana) and many others.
Interestingly, consulting and visual production have also given birth to Mr. Williams unforeseen talent as a solid screenplay writer. In recent years his Mr. Williams has also been recognized for his ability to execute an screenplay within a two to three day window. Mr. Williams is currently in development of projects with producing partners ranging from Cassius Weathersby (You Got Served), Kerry Gordy, Jamee Deruso (Igor), Trae Ireland (Sony Screen Gems) and a handful of other producers.
Recently Mr. Williams created art and multimedia concepts for music projects featuring Flo Rida as well as graphics that graced the cover of Billboard Magazine in January 2013. Mr. Williams has also began art and multimedia design for the upcoming feature “Sexual Healing – The Marvin Gaye Story" as well as coming aboard the full length animated feature film “The Jungle Book” as an Associate Producer.
Mr. Williams is currently in development discussions for both TV and Film projects with producing partners ranging from Sony Screen Gems, Sony Columbia, Sony TV, Davis Entertainment / FOX and Trancas International Films (The distributors and rights holders of the infamous “Halloween” franchise).
