Creative Artist Agency’s Amplify Database Includes X ROADS TV President Marvin Williams

Hollywood – July 11, 2018 – X Roads TV, the multi-platform digital network created to stream television, film, and video content to a unique and diverse audience today announced President of Production, Acquisitions & Programming Marvin Williams has been included in Creative Artists Agency’s (CAA) Amplify Database. The database features minority TV Writers and is CAA’s newest tool to increase diversity in entertainment and television.

The launch was announced in Ojai by Christy Haubegger, CAA’s Head of Multicultural Business Development. “We initially conceived the Amplify Database as a resource for our clients and buyers to help them make the most informed and inclusive decisions when addressing the needs of their shows,” said Haubegger. “With the marketplace appetite for diverse voices at an all-time-high, we saw the larger potential value in this resource and decided to maximize its impact by sharing it with the entertainment industry.”

Positioned at the nexus of talent, content, brands, technology, sports, and live events, CAA creates limitless opportunities for the storytellers, trendsetters, icons, and thought leaders who shape popular culture. Thus, Mr. Williams is honored to be included in such an esteemed database. He stands ready to pick up the gauntlet and create content that portrays a diverse cast, that will appeal to a multicultural viewing audience.

I am very appreciative to be included in CAA’s Amplify Database featuring minority TV writers. As an elite global powerhouse CAA sets the tone in entertainment next to WME, ICM and other elite agencies,” said X ROADS TV President Marvin Williams. “It remains a surprise to me that diversity remains a struggle as ideas executed correctly generate billions of dollars for the global economy, regardless of their creator’s skin color, beliefs or gender.”

Marvin Williams is no stranger to breaking barriers and innovative new ideas. By his mid 20s Mr. Williams had already become experienced in a wide array of programming languages which matriculated into one of Williams’ startup efforts going public through reverse merger on the CDNX (Canadian Stock Exchange).  In his 30s Williams fused his web and programming expertise with his passion for film and TV production and shortly after his own production company, Big M Entertainment was born. In 2018 he co-founded X ROADS TV Network with Sharifah Hardie.

I am very proud of not only my business partner, but I’m very proud of my friend, Marvin Williams,” says X ROADS TV CEO Sharifah Hardie. “Marvin is always appreciative of me, my expertise, and of my accomplishments. Today, I am simply enthusiastic and privileged to be able to discuss his recent accomplishment. If you know Marvin, you know he doesn’t take himself too seriously, yet he has built relationships with some of the largest studios, and elite film producers in Hollywood. By being included in the CAA Amplify Database Marvin has positioned himself to further increase diversity in Hollywood & entertainment.”

To date Mr. Williams has achieved over 50,000,000 views on YouTube as well as numerous IMDB credits for his work as Director, Writer, Post Production and EFX for projects in multiple genres. Current relationships/studio associations include SONY, FOX, Paramount, Universal, NBC, E1, Viacom, BET, TV One, Endemol Shine, Fremantle, CAA, WME, UTA, Paradigm, Escape Reality (A Steve Tisch Co), Davis Entertainment (Predator, iRobot), Escape Artists (Forrest Gump), Vassal Benford (Toni Braxton, Deborah Cox, DJ Diplo, Flo-Rida) and Trancas International (Halloween) as examples.
